How do I sign up with Payment Assist?
Getting started is quick and simple. Complete our short online sign-up form, and one of our onboarding specialists will contact you to finalise your account. Once approved, you can begin offering Payment Assist straight away.
How long does it take to get set up?
Most garages and dealerships are fully set up within 48 hours once documentation is complete. We guide you through every step.
What information do I need to provide?
We’ll ask for your company registration details, VAT number, business address, and payment details. We carry out credit and affordability assessments on all applications, with checks tailored to the product and amount, to ensure responsible lending.
Are there any setup or ongoing costs for my business?
There are no setup or monthly fees.
When you offer 0% finance to your customers (pay-in-3, 4 or 6 months), your business covers a subsidy, making it interest-free for the customer.
When do I get paid?
You’re paid in full upfront, usually within 5 working days of the invoice being uploaded to us. Payment Assist manages the repayment collection from the customer directly.
Is there a minimum or maximum transaction value?
There’s no fixed limit, each business decides what to offer.
In practice, finance is typically used for invoices over £100, covering everything from MOTs to major repairs.
Do I still get paid if a customer misses a payment?
Yes. You’re paid in full at the start, and Payment Assist handles all collections. Missed payments do not affect your cash flow.

Is my garage listed for customers to find?
Yes – as a Payment Assist partner, your business is added to our Marketplace, a public search tool that helps finance-minded drivers find and choose your garage. It boosts your visibility, builds credibility through FCA-regulated association, and increases inbound leads from cost-conscious customers looking to spread the cost of servicing and repairs.
What services does Payment Assist cover?
While we don’t provide vehicle purchase finance, Payment Assist can be used for almost everything else related to vehicle ownership and maintenance; MOTs, servicing, repairs, tyres, dents, paintwork, wrapping, upholstery, warranties, and more.
Does Payment Assist offer longer-term or interest-bearing products?
Yes. For higher-value services or bundled products (like warranties or subscriptions), you can offer customers extended terms with low, fixed interest rates. This opens the door to upsell opportunities while keeping monthly costs manageable. Available for: Warranties and insured products, tyres, paintwork, accessories, service plans, subscriptions (e.g. warranty + servicing bundles).
Do you provide training for our staff?
Yes. We deliver full onboarding and staff training to ensure your team can confidently explain and offer Payment Assist to customers. We also provide refresher training when needed.
Do you provide ongoing support?
Absolutely. Our UK-based team is on hand for account support, training, or queries, and we supply ongoing marketing and technical assistance whenever you need it.
Do you provide any POS or marketing materials?
Yes. You’ll receive branded point-of-sale materials, including counter stands, window decals, digital banners, and customer leaflets to help you promote the service in-store and online.
Does Payment Assist integrate with my system?
Yes. We integrate with leading systems, including:

How do refunds or cancellations work?
If a refund is due, contact our support team. We’ll adjust the payment plan and manage any refund directly with the customer, quick and transparent.
What’s the customer experience like?
Customers sign a short online agreement, make their first payment instantly, and spread the remaining cost automatically. There are no hidden fees or interest, just simple, fair payments.
Is Payment Assist FCA regulated?
Yes. Payment Assist Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), ensuring full consumer protection and compliance.
Do customers need a credit check?
We carry out credit and affordability assessments on all applications, with checks tailored to the product and amount, to ensure responsible lending.

Can I use the Payment Assist logo on my website and social media?
Yes, once you’re a partner, we’ll provide approved branding assets and guidelines so you can confidently promote Payment Assist.
Is customer data safe?
Yes. All customer information is encrypted and managed under strict GDPR and FCA data-protection standards. We never share data with third parties for marketing.
Is there a contract or minimum term?
No. There’s no long-term commitment; you can use Payment Assist flexibly whenever it suits your business.
Can I use Payment Assist alongside other finance options?
Yes. Many partners use Payment Assist alongside other payment or finance solutions, giving customers even greater flexibility.
